A new multipurpose room with a new two-story, 12-classroom building provides 22,000 sf of new space and expanded learning opportunities for the Jefferson Elementary students and staff. A new activity quad, outdoor classrooms, expanded parking and drop-off areas, a new landscape, and a secure and welcoming entry plaza provide program flexibility and greater access for the Jefferson campus.
The daylight-filled multipurpose room offers a variety of configurations to support performances and meetings, as well as specialized labs for music, dance, and STEAM learning. Large glass doors allow expanded use of the new entry court and plaza for larger school and community events. Classrooms have windows on two walls, learning alcoves, and collaboration spaces that allow students to work in small groups. Some classrooms have moveable walls to support group learning, professional development, and specialized program activities.
