View in Gallery ModeAnn Peppers Hall is a 25,000 SF new building and critical part of the Center for the Arts masterplan at the University of Redlands. It houses state-of-the-art labs and studios for the visual arts supporting classes in drawing, painting, photography, graphic design, printmaking, ceramics and sculpture.
This facility establishes an arts precinct with a creative community presence on the campus edge, building campus synergy and inviting the greater Redlands community to engage with campus life and activities. Courtyards, walks, lobbies, and commons connect, overlap, and intersect within the building and precinct fostering casual encounters and communication that reinforce collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and increased creativity. These spaces also serve as outdoor classrooms and studios and exhibit and reception space for the arts and other University programs and events.
Certified as a LEED Gold building, it sets a new standard for sustainability at the campus and reinforces its role as a leader in environmental stewardship in the region as well as a source of inspiration for the University community. The building materials and systems use less energy and water, minimize carbon emissions, and provide a higher level of indoor air quality.
The project offers increased visibility and awareness for the Arts programs attracting new students and faculty and is an important symbol of the University’s progress as well as a welcoming public face to the larger community.
