Project Manager

Morrissey Associates, Inc. is seeking a Project manager to join our team!  We are a growing Architecture firm, focused primarily on K-12 and Higher Education design, located in Costa Mesa.   We offer an integrated project approach in a small office environment, providing plenty of opportunities for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee as well as actively participate in creation of complete, fully coordinated design documents.
  • Coordinate projects with consultants and in-house staff.
  • Interact with clients and project principal to coordinate and implement budget, scope and schedule.
  • Ability to lead client and team meetings throughout the project.
  • Establish a work plan for multiple projects.  Monitor and implement the work plan.
  • Perform code, compliance, conditions and or other relevant research conceptual & schematic design.
  • Ensure compliance of preliminary plans and construction documents with design intent.
  • Provide assistance in construction administration.
  • Assist in project close-out efforts including punch lists and agency processing.
  • Meet with governmental agencies or officials as needed and coordinate agency submittals.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Strong project management and organization skills.
  • Working knowledge of the CBC.
  • Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Deadline and detail oriented.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Enthusiastic.
  • A California architect license is a plus.

 


Job Captain/BIM Specialist

Morrissey Associates, Inc. is seeking a Job Captain/BIM specialist to join our team! We are a growing Architecture firm, focused primarily on K-12 and Higher Education design, located in Costa Mesa. We offer an integrated project approach in a small office environment, providing plenty of opportunities for growth and advancement. We are seeking someone well versed in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit Architecture, who can lead and refine the implementation and integration of Revit into the design process.

Responsibilities:

  • Project specific active implementation of Revit.
  • Project Level File and Template Management.
  • Model Management
  • Coaching and Support
  • BIM Content Management, Creation, Approval and Procedures
  • Establish documented processes, procedures and workflows
  • Interoperability Management of BIM and other Digital Design Tools
  • Proactive approach and use of new Digital Design Tools
  • Work closely with the office Design team to bring standard practices to specific studios and projects.
  • Prepare accurate design development and construction documents
  • Achieve agency approvals

Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience in Revit and AutoCAD workflow.
  • Architectural Degree or Architectural license preferred.
  • Ability to work in all phases of project development.
  • Working knowledge of the CBC.
  • Deep knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit Architecture.
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Deadline and detail oriented.
  • Ability to convey Digital design concepts and methods to team members.
  • Enthusiastic.
